You could use white sugar and a little molasses!. That's all brown sugar is!. You could also brown some butter and mix it in with the sugar if you don't have molasses and this might work fine!.

I have just used white sugar in place of brown and it's a little different, but still pretty good!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Strictly speaking, brown sugar IS NOT regular granulated white sugar with molasses added!.

In stead, it is sugar that has not had all the molasses refined out of it!.

Adding molasses to white sugar will make a suitable substitute as others have said!.

1- Reduce the amount of ingredients of recipe by 1 tablespoon!.

2 - In place of Brown Sugar use and equal amount of white sugar!.

3 - Add 1 tablespoon of molasses to wet ingredients of recipe per cup of white sugar!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

There seems to be a substitute for almost all ingredients!. Sorry, I do not know this one!. Maybe do a yahoo search for substitutions for ingredients!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

You could use granulated sugar and molasses the results should be the same!. Use about a cup of the white sugar and 1 and a half tablespoons of molassesWww@FoodAQ@Com
