Is this crazy? A whole chicken- cooked like a chicken wing?!

Question: Is this crazy!? A whole chicken- cooked like a chicken wing!?
I have a craving for wings but I don't have any and the store is far!. Plus, I have a whole chicken brining that I need to cook today!. Do you think this would work or is this just too crazy!?

1!. Coat the chicken (leaving it whole) with an egg/milk mixture!. toss in seasoned flour, bake until chicken is done and coating is crispy!.

2!. Baste generously with a thick buffalo wing sauce!.

I don't know, that actually sounds like it might be crazy enough to taste good! What do you think!? (I thought of cutting up the chicken, but leaving it whole intrigues me!)Www@FoodAQ@Com

It sounds so yummy! Who wouldn't love that!?
Do you think, because of the differing thicknesses of the chicken parts, that the coating would be well cooked, maybe over-cooked, before an area like, I don;t know, the thighs, or the breast, was cooked all the way through!? I wonder, if you halved the chicken, and then had two massive halves to work with, if this might work out better!?

Since the chicken is small, I think it will work! Try it!

I mean, you won't have the concentration of flavor (sauce) and texture (skin, breading) as you do with a small wing, but it'll be all your own, your unique Whole Buffalo Chicken!.

Have extra Franks Red Hot and some bleu cheese dressing nearby!

I think your breading would burn before the meat was totally done!.

I'd just cut up the chicken into pieces, and then cook it as a chicken wing!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i think that would be fine!. the only difference would be that there would be a lot more meat to this recipe than a regular chicken wing!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think it sounds like it would turn out really well - you may just be on to something here!. Let us know how it turns out!Www@FoodAQ@Com
