In search of the best recipe for hash browns?!
I want to make them from scratch, does anybody have a grandma's recipe that's been handed down, or just something that works well!. Thanks in advance!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

4 left over baked potatoes, quartered and sliced ?” thick
? c!. onion, chopped
? c!. celery, chopped
2 green onions, chopped whites and greens
Seasoning salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Butter vegetable oil
In a warmed 10” or larger Dutch oven, melt butter in vegetable oil!. Add remaining ingredients and fry until browned and warmed through!. Serve with bacon and eggs or an omelet!. Serve with anything that sounds god for breakfast!. Try them for dinner!.

here is what i do!.!.!. (it makes 4)
1/4 tsp!. salt
1/4 c!. finely chopped onions
3 tbsp!. butter
1/8 tsp!. black pepper
3 medium potatoes (1 lb!.) such as russet or yellow
Peel potatoes and coarsely shred them!. You should have about 3 cups!.
Combine the potatoes, onion, salt and pepper!.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat!.
Using a spatula, pat potato mixture into skillet, reduce heat to medium-low, and cook about 10 minutes or until bottom is crisp!.
Cut into 4 wedges and turn!. Cook another 8 to 10 minutes or until golden and the potatoes are cooked!. Enjoy!
