When baking a chicken, should I use tinfoil or not?!
Hey there, so I'm baking a chicken, I normally wrap the chicken in a finfoil pouch and let it bake in there until juices are clear!. And then I eat it!.
So, I'm making pasta salad, it says to bake the oven to 400 and bake for 30 mins, which is what I normally do, should I use tinfoil or no!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

If the recipe says bake uncovered I would do that!. If the recipe says to cover, then I always cover with foil!. It just depends on what the reipe says!. I hope this helped!.

When you cover your chicken in foil you are actually steaming it as you bake it!. It will keep it moist, but the skin will not brown!. If you cook it uncovered, you may want to check it when it's 3/4 of the way done and if the wings are already browned, put foil tips over them to keep them from burning!.
Otherwise, if you cook it covered, you may want to take the foil off 30 mins!. before it's done to allow the skin to crisp!.
It will cook either way, and if you're putting it in a pasta salad, you'll want to skin it anyway, so you may as well go for the moisture and cook it covered!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It’s usually a good idea to use a triple-thick sheet of foil over the white meat (the breasts and only the breasts) when you first put the chicken in, as this can slow down the cooking of the white meat and prevent it from overcooking while the dark meat cooks!.
Fold a section of foil over twice to make a sheet that is three layers thick and lightly butter it on the side that will touch the chicken!. You can place it over the breast when you put the chicken in and remove it part of the way through cooking to ensure good browning of the skin!.
I’ve roasted chicken both ways and its always a good idea to be somewhat safe, although I have had it turn out well without the foil!.

It may be a personal preference!. The meat will stay moister if it is kept covered while baking!.
I don't understand what the pasta salad has to do with the baking chicken!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Maybe you could just spray your pan with pam or something like it and omit the foil - I have never roasted the chicken in foil!.!.!.not that it isn't ok, just never done it that way!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
