Fancy a hot meal with as little ingredients as possible, and quite quick to make!.!.!.well no longer than an hour anyway!

Homemade Thick Soup

Place some butter and a chopped onion in a pan with a little olive oil until the onion is soft!.

Add chopped veg such as carrot, parsnip, cauliflower, broccoli, turnip etc
Add 2 0r 3 chopped potatoes
Add vegetable stock

Bring to the boil and then simmer until soft

Place in a blender if you want it thick

Homemade chicken nuggets and chips

Make breadcrumbs by placing bread in a blender

3 chicken fillets cut into pieces

whisk 6eggs in a bowl

bread the chicken by placing it in the egg then the breadcrumbs

Fry the chicken nuggets in olive oil

Peel and cut potatoes either thinly or thickly and fry in a seperate pan

Very very filling and delicious!!

There are so many simple, quick, minimal recipes you might use!. Here's a one-dish chicken recipe to make in the oven!.

Start with a jointed chicken!. Then, have a look in your fridge!. If you've got potatoes, carrots and leeks or onions, cut those up and toss them in with the chicken in a baking dish!. You could also use other root vegetables such as turnip, squash, or sweet potatoes!. Drizzle olive oil over the chicken and vegetables and season with salt and pepper!. If you've got it, throw in some fresh chopped or dried herbs such as rosemary, thyme or sage!. A bit of crushed garlic wouldn't hurt!

Bake in a preheated oven at 180C for 45 minutes to 1 hour!. Serve the chicken and vegetables with some of the juice from the pan!.

Potato Pancakes

3 large Idaho or Yukon potatoes
1 large sweet onion
1 cup matzo meal, medium grain
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt, or more to taste
1/4 quality extra virgin olive oil
Low-fat sour cream
Fresh applesauce

Peel and grate the potatoes and onion by hand or in a food processor and put them in a large bowl!.

Add the matzo meal and the egg!. Sprinkle in the salt and blend everything together until the onions and potatoes are coated with the egg and matzo meal!. Let stand for 5 minutes!.

With clean hands, roll a ball of dough just big enough to fit in the palm of your hand, and flatten it out with your palms to make a round cake!. Repeat the process until you have used up all the batter!.

Set a medium saucepan over medium-high heat with 1 tablespoon of olive oil!. Lay 4 pancakes in the hot oil and cook for 1 minute on each side, until they turn golden brown!. Transfer the pancakes to a paper towel to soak up any excess oil!. Repeat, adding more olive oil to the pan, until all pancakes are cooked!. Depends what you like - western!? Chinese!? Japanese!?
Western: pasta with a tin of cream of mushroom, add some chopped up hot dogs or wieners or ham or chicken!. It taste great and got mushroom and meat!. =)
Japanese: boil udon noodle for two minutes, and then boil the miso soup paste!. Voila, you'd get udon noodle with soup!. Add some veggies or meats if you like!.
Chinese: scramble eggs with chopped up meat, steam veggie, make rice, in about 20-30 minutes you'd get a healthy meal!. No oil needed if you like!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pot pie or Shepperd's pie easy style
2 cups cooked meat (I use left overs)
1cup frozen mixed veg blend
1cup frozen hash browns(southern style, diced)
2cans frozen biscuit(or one recipe bisquick mixed) or 2 cups mashed potato

1 can milk
combine meat veg potato milk and your fav cream based soup season with garlic salt and pepper to taste pour into casserole dish top with spoonfuls of either biscuit dough or mashed taters bake 375 for 15 - 20 min or until bubbly and topping is nice golden brown enjoy great way to get kids to eat veg and also great use of leftover meatWww@FoodAQ@Com

PIZZA - use either a Boboli crust, or a refrigerated tube of pizza dough!. Spoon some pasta sauce on it; put pepperoni or whatever toppings you like; sprinkle with grated mozzarella and bake - serve with a salad

TACOS - brown some ground meat with a package of taco seasoning or chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt & pepper!. Put into soft flour or hard tortilla shells; add grated cheese and zap in the microwave for about 20 seconds until cheese melts!. Add shredded lettuce & tomato, and salsa !.!.!.!. serve with fresh oranges

Bake big potatoes until soft; "fluff" them up; pour a heated can of chili over them!. Top with shredded cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion & salsa !.!.!.!.!.!.serve with fruitWww@FoodAQ@Com

My kids don't like the same things & trying to get them to eat can be a trial to say the least (and they're not even young at 15 & 19!)
Take a look at the BBC site for recipes & see if you can find anything you think they'll eat!.

my family enjoys hamburger with mac and cheese!. Here's how:
Sautee an onion in butter until soft, add salt and pepper!. Brown hamburger meat and drain off grease!. Cook a box of mac and cheese per directions!. Mix up your mac and cheese (I add a little amercian cheese also) and add your onions and hamburger meat and mix all together!. kids like to add ketchup!. ENJOY!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cook boneless chicken with herbs and spices lots of garlic in olive oil

remove chicken and cube

add chicken and cooked spaghetti back to oil and herbs

add lots of parm!. cheese and coat well with oil (toss while heating)

Serve with warm italian bread!. If you wanted to you could also add

fresh mushroom
tomatoes
fresh spinach
red onion
black olives

cook chicken tenders in a skillet when done add a can or 2 of cream of mushroom!.
serve over mashed potatoes kid will love it!.

Pasta carbonarra, cook the pasta and stir in a beaten egg over gentle heat so the egg covers the cooked pasta!. Toss in sliced ham!. PRESTO!
