Chocolate covered strawberries are easy to make!. All you need is fresh strawberries, chocolate chips, a metal bowl and medium size sauce pan (or a double boiler if you have one), wax paper and an area to put the strawberries for the chocolate to cool!. Start by washing the strawberries and putting wax paper on your table so you can put the berries there for the chocolate to harden!. Melt the chocolate chips in the metal bowl above boiling water in the sauce pan!. Make sure to stir the chocolate often so that it does not burn!. also make sure that the water does not touch the bowl because it can cause the chocolate to burn!. Be careful because the bowl can become hot!. Once the chocolate is melted completely remove it from the pan and put it on a kitchen towel near your work area!. Then hold the strawberry by the stem and dip it into the chocolate!. (If the chocolate stiffens in the bowl put it back over the hot water until it melts again!.) Then place the chocolate coated strawberry on the wax paper until the chocolate stiffens!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Wash your strawberries and air dry thoroughly
Put some chocolate buttons in the top of a double boiler with water in bottom saucepan or melt them in the microwave (you can also add about 2 tablespoons of pouring cream to the mix if you wish to make a ganache type coating)
Take hold of the leaves - bunch them up in your fingers and dip your strawberries into the chocolate and place on a piece of waxed or silicone paper (bake paper) till set
Or simply have the melted choc in the table centre and have each guest dip their own - eat immediately
PS make sure you have really good quality fruit and that they have a lovely strawberry smell for best results - here is a recipe if you are unsure how to proceed Www@FoodAQ@Com

Melt a pat of butter in a small saucepan on low to med-low!. Then turn to LOW and melt some dove promise chocolate or dove dark chocolate!. Stir often, and remove from heat as soon as it's melted!. Dip clean strawberries in and lay aside!. Enjoy!

The only downside is that it can burn rather easily, but it's incredibly delicious!. As long as you remove melted chocolate from heat you should have no problems!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
