Is it okay to cook a roast beef in a crock pot for 4 hours on high vs 8 hours on low?!
Would there be any difference!?
And, do I have to cut it up or can I put it in the crock pot whole!?
I'm using the McCormick seasoning!. Is this okay!?

Sure you can increase the heat and decrease the time!. Not much difference!.!.!.not worth worrying about!. Do not cut it up-good idea if you are worried about changing the time and temp, but you don't have to!. Just leave it whole, put a liquid on the bottom and your seasoning sprinkled on the top - or you could rub it in, mix a bit in the liquid!.!.!.
As for the liquid, beer sounds good, but I would not use it with your McCormick seasoning!. It has plenty of salt in it, so if you want use low sodium broth, water, a red wine would blend nicely too!. I like to put my veggies on top of the meat, so you could use root veggies like potatoes, parsnips, turnips, and some celery, peppers, carrots, onions!. Garlic in the whole bunch cooks up so nicely and is great as a substitute for butter on bread!. You have the start for a great dinner and leftovers that will be yummy! Good luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I cook mine for about 6 or 7 hours on high - it comes out so tender and moist!. I rarely use the low setting on either of my crock pots!.
I just put the whole thing in, a little water (or beer is a good tenderizer!) and my seasonings in!. Turn the thing on high, and go to work!. Hubby turns it to low when he gets home, and then by the time I'm home, it's time to pull the meat out, make the gravy and sides, 10 min later dinner :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's your call, but I generally don't waste a nice piece of roast beef on the crock pot!. I like it rare, so I roast it in the oven!.
When I use the crock pot, I use corned beef or chuck roast!. I cook them in either water or tomato juice with a bay leaf and seven pepper corns!. When my husband gets home, he adds the chopped carrots, potatoes and turnips, plus some onions, all of which I prepared the night before!. Then it cooks for another couple hours!. Comes out juicy and tender!. I really prefer my pressure cooker tho!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
