Is there are recipe for cookies that would last long or a way to keep fresh as long as possible weeks?!
My husband is about to go out to sea on a submarine for 4 month and he wants some homemade cookies!.I want them to be able to last as long as i can make them anyone know any tricks!?!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

put a piece of bread in the container with the cookies it draws the moisture to the bread and keeps you cookies soft and they don't go stale so fast Www@FoodAQ@Com
ANZAC biscuits!. Have a google about them!. They were used in WW1!. Sent to Australian soldiers by their lovely wives!. For obvious reasons they had to keep for a long time!. Here is an exert from a website that describes it well!.!.!.and gives the yummy recipe!.
Anzac Biscuits
Traditional biscuits baked by anxious wives and mothers during World War I, packed in food parcels, and sent to the Australian soldiers in the trenches!.
INGREDIENTS
1 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup desiccated coconut
1 cup plain flour
1 cup sugar
125g (4oz) butter
2 tablespoons golden syrup
1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1 tablespoon water
Preheat oven to 300F (150C)
Mix oats, flour, sugar and coconut together!.
Melt syrup and butter together!.
Mix soda with boiling water and add to melted butter and syrup!.
Add to dry ingredients!.
Place 1 tablespoonfuls of mixture on greased tray (allow room for spreading)!.
Bake for 20 minutes!.
Loosen while warm, cool on trays!.
(makes about 35)
My nana also use to lightly press the 'ball' of mix with a fork to make a little 'grill-like' pattern on the tops!.
also, make sure you make plenty because the other submariners will eat them all up on him and there will be none left!.!.!.they are delicious!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

It comes with a couple of vacuum bags, but you will need to buy more!. It is handheld and very easy to use!. You can find it at most grocery stores, Target and Wal-mart!.

*Being Australian I cannot let you go by without telling you about ANZAC biscuits! They are a lovely biscuit that last forever (well not in my house - we eat them ALL the time!) You can make lots of them and they will surely get eaten as quickly as they do in my household!
