Question: Forget the mac and cheese powder!?
any1 knows a really good topping for the soft pasta!?

Answers:
Make your own cheese sauce!.

3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black or white pepper
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup or so grated sharp Cheddar or smoky flavor Cheddar cheese

Melt butter; remove from heat!. Stir in flour and seasonings!. Gradually add milk, stirring until well mixed!. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and smooth!. Cook for 5 minutes longer; add cheese!.Stir until smooth and well blended!. Mix in your pasta and enjoy!.

Four Cheese Sauce


INGREDIENTS

* 2 cups heavy whipping cream
* 1/2 cup butter
* 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
* 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
* 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
* 1/2 cup grated Romano cheese


DIRECTIONS

1!. In a medium saucepan combine whipping cream and butter!. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently until butter melts!. Gradually stir in grated Parmesan cheese, grated mozzarella cheese, grated provolone cheese, and grated Romano cheese!. Reduce heat to low, and continue to stir just until all cheese is melted!.
2!. Serve immediately, sauce will thicken upon standing!.

almost anything!. my kids aren't too hyped about plain mac n' cheese!.!.!. I usually add a few pieces of american to it also!. just about any sauce in the pasta aisle will work!. there's white sauces, tomato sauces, cheese sauces, cream sauces!.
you could also use this!.!.!.
2T of butter
dab of oil if it gets too dry
1/2 an onion diced
1 carrot finely diced
1/4 frozen peas
1 1/2t of diced garlic
salt and pepper to taste!.

heat butter until melted and add onion and carrot!. saute until tender!. add peas and garlic and stir until done, add to pasta!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

5 strips peppered bacon (I used plain), diced
1 12oz bag of southwestern corn (I used one can drained corn)
1/2 small onion, diced
approx 1T olive oil
1 block of cream cheese
1 cup white wine or chicken stock
Cooked Pasta

Saute onions, olive oil and bacon in a sauce pan!. When bacon is cooked to desired tenderness, add corn and heat through!. Then add cream cheese!. Melt cheese!. Add wine and simmer until ready to pour over your cooked pasta!.

As kitch said, the only point in buying a box of mac & cheese is the cheese!. It's much cheaper to buy the macaroni by itself if that's all you want!. As to toppings, just buy a jar of tomato sauce, or grate some real cheese onto the warm pasta!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
