Answers:
carp is great smoked and can be purchased in upper midwest!. My folks caught them all the time in the local streams and rivers and had them smoked!. It is a fatty fish so tastes pretty "fishy"fried so that was rarely done by my mother but smoking it is great!. If your carp was caught in a dirty, none running water source, they can taste pretty funky but from a running stream or river it is a whole different matter!. This is actuallyy the same with all fish!. Check your local mercury levels for fish as well!. Here in Minnesota, our fishing manual that comes with the fishing license gives advice on how much to safely eat and where not to eat them from!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Me, personally, no, and no one in my family!.
However, Husband had a relative that was able to cut the carp boneless!.
I'm not sure how it was done!.
FIL has ate carp before!.
