When making lasagna ahead of time?!

Question: When making lasagna ahead of time!?
I am making up 2 lasagnas for a party on Friday night!.!.!.I read somewhere that you don't have to simmer and cook the sauce beforehand (as if you were cooking and serving in the same day) if it is going to sit and be refrigerated overnight!. Is this true!? Can I mix the sauce up and just boil the noodles, and layer the "raw" uncooked cold sauce and refrigerate it until Friday when it will be baked!? I don't want to compromise flavor!. Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
No, No, No!
Who told you that!? Raw sauce is raw sauce, the refrigerator will not "cook" it for you!Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you are going to do this, I suggest to make the sauce as you would if you are making it the same day!. Just let it cool at least to room temperature!. You can layer the lasagna with uncooked noodles, as the dish will be sitting and soaking the sauce in for at least a day!. If you boil the noodles and refrigerate it, they will soak up the sauce and be too tender and may fall apart or tear during the baking!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Are you making the sauce or is it jarred!? If you're making it, you will want to cook it at least partly to get the flavor going!. If it's jarred, it can come straight from the jar to the lasagna!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

make the sauce the night before, and instead of boiling the noodles, buy the ones that you don't have to boil, this cuts back on the time to prepare the lasagneWww@FoodAQ@Com
