How to tell if ground turkey is bad?!

Question: How to tell if ground turkey is bad!?
I've had this ground turkey sitting in the fridge for a lil bit!. Can't remember how long, but I think it's been less than a week!. It was grayish and some liquid at the bottom, but it had been frozen before that!. It didn't have any discoloration, and no odor, but in the pan it smells weird!. Like!.!.!. breakfast sausage, but in a weird way!.

So, is it bad or good!? And please don't say the "If in doubt throw it out"

Basically, does ground turkey have a sharp odor when cooking!? Thanks
