Should I buy a deep fryer.......?!

Question: Should I buy a deep fryer!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!?
or can I use a deep stainless steel pot and just buy a basket or is it dangerous to deep fry on the stove!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Either your pot or get a cast iron!. The cast iron get hotter and holds the heat much better!. ALWAYS use a candy thermometer!. Deep fried food should be cooked at no less than 375 F!. Deep fryers are difficult to clean and if not a commercial unit will cook not better than the cast iron!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Speaking from experience, I would just buy the basket and a thermometer!. The electric deep fryers aren't that advantageous over using a deep pot and the required equipment!.

I thought the deep fryer was a pain in the rear to store and clean and it made the whole freakin' kitchen covered in a sticky film!. Plus, since we had a deep fryer, my family was under the mistaken impression that all our food should be deep fried (wrong!)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

its not really dangerous if your careful!. but do you really want to keep a pot of oil on your stove at all times
but you can buy a fry daddy for like 20-25 bucks!. it has a lid so you can store it afer using it!. and i use mine all the time
the oil lasts long to, you only change it when it gets darkWww@FoodAQ@Com

I would just buy a deep fryer, i have one and i love it, i recommend not to get the Fry Daddy though, get one with a built in basket, its more convenient to use and less chance of burning yourself!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have a deep fryer as it is far safer to use than a pot on the stove!.
The drawback is that you need to buy a lot of oil to start with, and there are all types of handling problems!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Deep frying is fun!
I have five!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
