Yes, they're fine to use!. Don't add baking powder or soda; but be sure that you beat the batter at least 3 min!. on an electric mixer, to get the fluffiest, moistest cake!. You can substitute a fruit yogurt or sour cream for any liquid called for!. You can poke holes in the top of the baked, cooled cake and pour some prepared jello (not hard yet) over the cake!. Then refrigerate it several hours and frost with sweetened whipped cream (do this one in a 9x13" pan) !.!.!.!.!. You can add orange or lemon zest; mini morsel chips, or just about anything you want to it! Including a can of pie filing mix (beaten with everything in the mixer)!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I take my favorite soda, follow the instructions on the cake and instead of adding liquid I add my favorite soda to make the cake flavorful!. Like rootbeer, strawberry is good and believe it or not it makes the cake very moist!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

its a dry ingredient so i dont think anything will happen to it!.!.
and i dont think you really need to add anything to it!.!.!.
