When I was growing up my mother used to serve her chili over rice (she learned that from a friend of hers - it completes the protein from the beans since both rice and beans are incomplete proteins)!.

She served it with a nice tossed salad and the meal was complete!!

Naturally we had crackers to put the chili on so we would get a mouthful of chili with the soda cracker!.

Every time we do Chili we always do a buffet line of extras!.
Sour Cream

but let me tell you a lil secret!.!.!. my mother makes this and its delicious!.!. i never met anyone else that ever cooked it!.!.

she would make chilli, then she would make home made mashed potatoes, a can of corn, you need sour cream and cheese!.

on the bottom of the bowl she would put a nice big pile of potatoes, then corn, then chili over top, then sour cream, then a ton of shredded cheese on top!.!.

it might sound like a lot of different things, but if you think about it all of those things go together so good, she would make homeade cornbread to go with it!.!.!. its my favorite!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
