What happens when you put raisins in water?!

Question: What happens when you put raisins in water!?
Answers:
They begin to swell up!. Although they will never be as big as the grape they once were, the size increase will be noticeable!. If you want to soak raisins for something, I like to use brandy, whiskey, or another type of alcohol, it just adds that extra flavor that tastes great!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Like all dehydrated food stuffs it will absorb water by the osmotic process & plump up, absorption of plain water makes them look attractive but rather bland in flavour so do try out the suggestins made by jacob, will enhance flavour & improve the overall effect of any cooking you plan to use them in !.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They will swell up!. If you want to add them to a rum cake or banana bread soak them in rum overnight!. This will add extra flavor but the alcohol will not be there!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
