Question: DO you have to use vanilla extract for blonde brownies what can i substitue it with!?
Answers:
Blonde brownies are so forgiving, that you can substitute just about anything in them:) Just leave out the vanilla!. The brown sugar gives it a caramel/butterscotch flavor, and you'll have various chips in there too - so you won't even notice that the vanilla isn't there;)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Vanilla really is a very important part of the flavor of blonde brownies but you could use a spoonful of dark rum if you had it or another kind of dark liquor!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Something I have used with great success is a little maple flavored syrup instead!. Even when I had vanilla!Www@FoodAQ@Com
