melt the butter over a medium- low heat once melted you will get white foam on top just keep scooping it off until there is little to none left and then you will have clarified butter!.!.!.
hint**** do not really let it get to cool or you may have to spend more time heating it up!.!. it is nice to keep it in a metal pan or bowl once done scooping place it in another bowl of hot water if you do not plan on using it right away
the white off which is just the fat to keep the temp warm

Melt butter over low heat!. Let it set til all the solids sink then skim off the foam!. (I typed the method backwards the first time!.)Www@FoodAQ@Com
