Anyone got good idea for making roast potatoes?!
in the oven ive halved two big potatoes ,skinned and ive stabbed the fork over then a bit and pasted goose fat on them so just need to pop them in oven but wondered if there was better ways of doing itWww@FoodAQ@Com

I would have peeled and cut (if needed) to the size I'd like!. Put them in cold salted water and brought to the boil for 3-5 minutes!. Then drained and rolled gently around in the saucepan or colander until the edges fluffed!. Left for a few minutes while my tray of goose fat heated up at around 180 degrees!. The rolled them into the hot fat and baked, turning after 30 minutes until they look like beautiful roast tattties!.If they are not browning quick enough for the rest of your meal wang the heat up to 200 or so!.

P!.S Of course that's the right way to do it!.!.!.!.!.!.that's how i do it too, and they taste yummy! I like mine a bit more baked up and crunchy though lol so i just make mine a bit smaller!.

First part boil them, when cool, not cold, roll them in a mixture of salt and flour!. Only enough salt to your taste though!. Put them into ready heated fat and coat them, then some pepper again to your taste!. Then into oven and roast till well done but not burnt!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Hi the best way to do this is to peel and cut the potatoes and then put them in the tray with oil and on the top put some spices and pepper or salt, they taste lovely like this and we tried this and it was lovely!. you can put salt aswell and they come out all crispy hope this helps :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com
