I made this recipe using thin egg noodles (instead of crust) and made it into a 9x 13 casserole!. I added cream of mushroom soup to the sauce (oh yeah, and I made my own chicken broth using 6 cups of hot water and 2 Tbsp chicken bouillon)!. I used canned vegetables with mine (peas, carrots, green beans and corn) I used 10 to 12 oz uncooked egg noodles (cooked first, while I was making the sauce) and then combined everything, poured into 9 x 13 dish sprinkled with a little cheddar and baked 30 mins at 350!. This recipe seems very adaptable to whatever you would have on hand!! Good luck - hope this recipe helps!
