Cauliflower- light yellowish discolorations?!

Question: Cauliflower- light yellowish discolorations!?
I'm a junk-food addict trying to convert to healthy ways!. I bought cauliflower, and all of them at the store had dark brown spots except for a couple!. I bought the one with the least spots, but some had little yellow tinges to the heads!. Is that okay to eat as long as it is not brown!?

also, how do I cut cauliflower, and can I cook it in a microwave!?

Thanks for your help!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
You can thinly slice off the yellow bits!. THey're essentially bruises!. To cut the cauliflower, slice from the bottom of the stem, till it separates, no need to cut into the florets (which gets messy with little bits of cauliflower everywhere)!. Then slice off florets in the size you want!. There is usually lots of the thick stem part left over, which you can dice or eat or save to put in soup stock!.
Yes, you can cook cauliflower in the microwafe!. If you run it under the tap, there is usually enough water adhereing to it to help it steam!. Depending on your microwave and the size of your florets, it will only take a few minutes, so check every minute!. Undercook it slightly as it will continue cooking till it's cool!.
