Can I use onions to replace leeks in a recipe?!

Question: Can I use onions to replace leeks in a recipe!?
Answers:
Yes you could!. In fact I usually use onions instead of leeks because leeks are so hard to clean!. If you do use a leek, be sure to cut it open and rinse it very carefully -- they are full of grit!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

It all depends on the recipe!. Most recipes, yes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
