It won't be a very nice frosting--the texture will be way off: thin and grainy!. Powdered sugar is a blend of corn starch and fine sugar!. If you have a food processor, use the highest speed to blend one cup of granulated sugar with two cups of corn starch, and you'll have your three cups of powdered sugar!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
The granulated sugar won't change the taste of your frosting, but it will give your frosting a different feel, it will be grainy, I have heard that if you put granulated sugar into a food processor, you can make it look and feel more like powdered sugar!. TWww@FoodAQ@Com
You CAN, but it'll change your frosting!. Granulated sugar doesn't melt, powdered sugar does, so your sugar will remain the same even though you're melting the rest of the ingredients and your frosting will be grainy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
