Just as it sounds Bittersweet contains no sugar!.!.!.semisweet contains a bit of sugar!.!.!.like what chcolate chips taste like!. You can still use it!.!.!.I don't know what the alternative would be,!. Your cake will taste great but won't have that deep chocolate taste!. OR you can take a bit of the sugar out of the recipe!.!.!.not too much because the semi sweet chocolate really doesn't contain that much sugar!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
You can use either one and the end result will be the same or at least VERY similar!. Bittersweet chocolate is chocolate liquor (or unsweetened chocolate) to which some sugar (typically a third), more cocoa butter, vanilla and sometimes lecithin has been added!. It has less sugar and more liquor than semisweet chocolate, but the two are interchangeable in baking!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
there’s not a lot of difference!. The difference between the two is the amount of sugar used; semisweet is sweeter, and bittersweet is a little more bitter!. Using the them in a multiple-ingredient recipe like cake or cookies, is unlikely to affect the outcome!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
