Why does celery at the restaurant tastes better?!

Question: Why does celery at the restaurant tastes better!?
Hey everyone!. I'm a big chicken wings guy, and as we all know, it comes with celery and blue cheese!. I love celery, probably the only vegetable that I like!. Whenever I get it at the restaurants it ALWAYS tastes better then the one i buy at the store, no matter how fresh, expensive it might be!. Do they do anything special at the restaurant to celery that it tastes so good!. Please let me know, maybe someone works at the eatery!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I agree with you, but the best celery I have ever bought is the organic celery,it is the sweetest and most awesome celery,it costs a bit more, but it is worth every dime!.To keep it crisp,I either cut it up into cold water and cover,or I wrap it in wet paper towels, and keep it in the crisper!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am finding that a lot of celery tastes of pesticides these days!. It could the restaurants get their celery elsewhere than my grocery store!. Have you tried buying organic celery!? Whole Foods sells a vegetable wash to held get rid of those pesticides!.

Sometimes cooks will dip the celery in boiling water momentarily before serving it!. This is what you do when you make a crudite (vegetable tray)!. This brightens the color of the vegetable and probably helps get rid of any remaining pesticide as well as possibly stimulating the juice of the celery to rise to the surface!.

No, we don't add anything special into the celery!. I think perhaps that it is just the fact of what it is served with!. And presentation has a lot to do with how something tastes!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cut and de-string the celery and store in a water bath in an airtight container in the fridge over night!. I don't know why, but it always tastes crisper and fresher this way!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

THEY JUST KEEP IT IN A COLD STORAGE AND SOKE IT IN COLD WATER TO MAKE IT HARDER ENJOYWww@FoodAQ@Com

after being washed and cut!. They put it in water and into the walk in cooler to chill!. It stays crisp that way!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
