Question: How do i make Banana Chips!?
I am so bored and im home sick
i need to make something healthy
and i love banana chips and i cant
go out to get any

Answers:
Slice the bananas about 1/4 of an inch thick, dip them into lemon juice - so they don't turn brown!. Stick them in your dehydrator till crisp (the time and temp really depends where you are located, how humid it is outside, and inside!. Just keep checking them till they are all done the way you like)!. I'm in the NE, and it usually takes me 2 or 3 days to make them!.

you need plantain bananas those are the green ones!. You can fry them!. this is a caribean recipe for some really good fried baananas!. It is so delicious and healthy!. I think!. LOL it is just a banana!. LOL

Fried Plantains
Serve as a side dish or as a dessert!.

Allow at least half a plantain per person!. Leaving the skin on, cut them in half, and put them into a pan of cold water!. Bring them to a boil!. It should take about 15 minutes of boiling to get them to the proper degree of softness!. Drain them, cool them, and cut the two halves of each in two again!. Gently press them flat and saute them in hot butter!. Drain on paper towel and serve!. If you want, you can sprinkle them with powdered sugar or drizzle them with honey!.

They work as a dessert or a side dish!.

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

4 medium bananas -- unpeeled
1 teaspoon butter
1/2 cup honey or sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 cup light rum
1/4 cup lime juice

Place bananas on large nonstick baking sheet!. Pierce skin of each banana
several times with tip of sharp knife!.

Bake at 400 degrees until skins blacken completely, 15 to 20 minutes!.

In 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat, heat butter, honey and
allspice until butter melts!. Open skin of each banana with knife, then
gently peel one side!. Lay peeled side in skillet and remove remaining
peel!. Cook 5 minutes, spooning occasionally with cooking syrup!.

Remove any nearby flammable articles, add rum and ignite; shake pan until
flames subside!. Remove from heat!. Add lime juice!. Serve each banana warm
with several spoonfuls of syrup!. Makes 4 servings!.

Each serving contains approximately 2 fruit exch!., 21/2 other carb!. exch!.,
260 calories, 64 gm!. carbohydrate, 1 gm!. protein, 2 gm!. fat (including 1
gm!. sat!. fat), 3 mg!. cholesterol, 14 mg!. sodium, 14 mg!. calcium and 3
gm!. dietary fiber!.
