Whipping cream and double cream are they the same?!


Question: Whipping cream and double cream are they the same!?
Because I have a recipe and it uses whipping cream i was wondering if i could just use double cream!? !.!.!.and whip it!? xWww@FoodAQ@Com

Double cream is usually 48% milk fat and is usually so thick that it gets too stiff and you commonly add milk to thin it out before using it!.

Substitute whipping cream for it and just make sure to beat it until very thick!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, whipping cream has a slightly lower fat content than double cream, but higher than single cream!.

Double cream whipped is almost superior to whipping cream, so you'd be better off doing what you suggest!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I always use whipping cream instead of double cream because i live in cyprus and i cant find double cream anywhere so i always use whipping cream instead!.

So you should be able to do the same!
