Advice on cooking a chicken?!
I cooked a chicken last night, I took it out of the oven and covered it and left it to cool down!. This morning when I checked it I realised it wasn't quite cooked!!
would it be safe for me to put it back in the oven when I get home from work tonight and cook it till it is cooked, or have I left it too long and it should be thrown away!?!?!?
ThanksWww@FoodAQ@Com

Yes you can re-roast it, but it will turn a bit rubbery, but a far better and tastier solution would be to just remove the meat from the bone and casserole it!.
Melt onions in a pan, add the chopped chicken, add as many root vegetables as you have!. Optionally add a pulse, like pearl barley!. Add stock!. Season to taste and then cook as slowly as your patience will allow!. The longer you cook the better it will be!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can put it back in the oven if you'd like but you have to let it get 170 degrees inside the thickest part of the breast to make sure it's well done!. If you have it available you could always put it in the microwave and cook it that way!. Which ever is easier for you but don't ever eat chicken that's still pink!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
You can't afford to take the risk with chicken!. Throw it away would have to be my advice as well, I'm afraid!. When cooking chicken in this way, stick a skewer in to the thickest part of the thigh and check that the juices run clear!. This way, you know it is properly cooked and you shouldn't have this problem again!. Think of it as a lesson learned!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
well if you put it in the fridge, you can definitely put it back in the oven!. cook on 375 for 30 minutes per pound!. if you cover it and put a bunch of water in the pan, it wont dry out!.
now igfyou didnt refridgerate it and let it sit out all night, its no good, raw meat cannot sit out under any circumstances!.!.!.!.!. you dont want you or your fam to get violently ill over a $10 chickenWww@FoodAQ@Com

Did you put it in the fridge overnight!?
If so, then yes, pop it back in the oven, covered, for another 30 mins or so --- to reheat and cook thoroughly!. Make sure you cook it to a high enough temp (165 degrees, get a meat therm!.)
But, !.!.!. this is all if you did refrigerate the chicken over night!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can re-cook it but the oven needs to be hot at the exact temp before you put it in!. And i would only do it if it has been in a fridge whilst you are at work!. If it hasn't then throw it away, not worth the chance!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
If you did put in the frig, then yes you can rebake it!!! Preheat your oven and rub butter over it before you put it back in!. Cook at a lower temp!. longer, might need to make a foil tent over it so the out side doesn't burn!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
definite no!.
chicken is the worst meat in regards to germs and such!. it needs to be cooked thoroughly the first time otherwise you can increase your risk of food poisoning or bird flu!.
