How do I clean out my food processor bowl after hard crack candy?!

Question: How do I clean out my food processor bowl after hard crack candy!?
I was making pourable fondant and wasn't paying close attention to my sugar temperature!. I went ahead and poured the liquid sugar into my food processor in hopes that it would still be ok to blend after allowing it to cool to desired temperature!.
Now I have hard crack candy sitting in my plastic bowl with the metal blade stuck inside, thus preventing me from putting it on the stove top or in the microwave to soften!.
I have tried very hot water and it doesn't seem to be doing anything!.

Answers:
I did something similar when making caramel for flan!. Boil some water and add it to the bowl!. Let it sit for a few minutes then try wiggling the blade!. Eventually, you should be able to get it loose and then you can throw the bowl into the microwave to melt the sugar!.

If you are more like me and would rather not bother with all that, fill it with water and let it sit for a few days - eventually it will dissolve and you can wash it out!.

Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you've just tried hot tap water you could boil some water on the stove top and try that!. You would risk breaking your bowl if you chipped away at it, I suppose!. Consider using a Kitchen Aid mixer for your pastry endeavors in the future!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Eventually, in water, the sugar will dissolve!. It might take a few days but that is all I can think of short of ruining the bowl or blade!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Try the Hot water with a bit of baking soda or salt added!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

let it sit in hot water and soap for a while and see if it softensWww@FoodAQ@Com
