How long do you bake a potatoe?!
These are large "baking potatoes"!. what temp and how long do you bake them in the oven!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
this is the best way make sure u poke holes in it all over with a fork
Ingredients
* 1 large russet potato
* canola oil
* kosher salt
Directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees and position racks in top and bottom thirds!.
Wash potato (or potatoes) thoroughly with a stiff brush and cold running water!.
Dry, then using a standard fork poke 8 to 12 deep holes all over the spud so that moisture can escape during cooking!.
Place in a bowl and coat lightly with oil!.
Sprinkle with kosher salt and place potato directly on rack in middle of oven!.
Place a baking sheet (I put a piece of aluminum foil) on the lower rack to catch any drippings!.
Bake 1 hour or until skin feels crisp but flesh beneath feels soft!.
Serve by creating a dotted line from end to end with your fork, then crack the spud open by squeezing the ends towards one another!.
It will pop right open!.
But watch out, there will be some steam!.
NOTE: If you're cooking more than 4 potatoes, you'll need to extend the cooking time by up to 15 minutes!.

Your large baking potatos will take 12 mins to 15 mins depending on your microwave!. Just make sure you prick" as in pierce the flesh of the tater with a fork" several times to allow steam to excape and use a plate to hold them kinda in place!. For smaller potatoes in the microwave figure 2 minutes of for 2 inches of potato, dont ask me why its just how I was told it figured out to" moms logic I think"
For oven baking for large bakers figure 1 hour at 350 rubbed in oil then either left as is just prick the skin, or wrapped in foil and placed on a rock salt baking sheet" the salt helps the skin of an unwrapped potato get nice and crispy"Www@FoodAQ@Com

About an hour !? It takes too long , i usually do it faster in the microwave !. Put one in the plastic shopping bag and tie it shut , then stab little hole on the bag for air leak , run 5 min!. and then turn potato on another side and run 5 min!. Take a hot potato out and test it with a tooth pick to see if soft enough !? That,s it ! Ready to serve !.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Why bake them in the oven!? Poke them with holes and put in microwave for 11 to 13 minutes flipping them halfway thru!. Depending on size they make take a little longer!. Much easier and keeps your house cooler!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
