You can slice it, but Id wrap the slices in Saran wrap, and then put them in a quart size freezer bag!. You could get a couple slices or more in a quart size, or even use the gallon size and put more in them!.!.but wrap them in Saran first*Www@FoodAQ@Com

I use MaxiVac [like a Food Saver only far superior]!. You can keep bread, cakes literally for years!. It's the air that causes freezer burn and odors from other foods permeate the cakes and breads which ruins them!. The best investment I made was buying the MaxiVac!. I had 2 FoodSavers and when they broke down, the Food Saver company did not/would not sell parts which is why I bought something else!. Whichever you buy will keep your food fresh!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you could individually wrap the slices, put each slice in a sandwich size ziplock freezer bag, then take all the slices and put them in a large ziplock freezer bag for added protection against freezer burn and breakage
then when you want a few slices, go in the large freezer bag and grab as many as you need!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cool completely, slice, then wrap tightly in foil and then plastic wrap to freeze!. Be sure to label it so you dont' forget what it is!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Saran wrap and then foil!. I do it all the time!. Have you ever added chocolate chips to Banana bread!? Try it!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
