Ham and Cheese Biscuit Roll ups
Ingredients:
2 cans of biscuits ($!.33 each)
Sandwich ham (1 slice per two biscuits - wafer sliced ham, 1 pkg!. is $!.59)
Shredded cheese (1/2 bag would be generous - $1!.00)
Directions:
Open the tube of biscuits!. Take two at a time and roll them out fairly thin on a cookie sheet!. (No need for extra flour!.) Place a slice of ham in the center and add some shredded cheese!. Roll up the biscuit and dip the rolled biscuit in the shredded cheese!. Place the roll cheese side up and bake until browned slightly, about 10 to 12 minutes!. I used an insulated cookie sheet, so I didn't have to worry about the bottoms burning!. Serve alone or with a side of deli or regular mustard!.
2 cans of biscuits make 10 roll ups (10 biscuits per can)!. Adjust according to the size of your family!. A smaller version of this could also be used for appetizers using only one biscuit per roll up!.
You can also use this idea with other fillings, such as:
Chicken and broccoli with Swiss cheese
Hot dogs or polish sausages and sliced cheese (pigs in a blanket)
Ground beef and spaghetti sauce with mozzarella cheese sprinkled with parmesan cheese & garlic powder (rolled calzones)
Corned beef, roast beef or ground beef, sauerkraut and Swiss cheese
Roast beef, smoked cheese and deli mustard
Scrambled eggs and cheese
The possibilities are endless!. also consider filling them with butter and rolling them in cinnamon sugar for a simple treat in the morning with coffee or a snack for the kids!.

Keep bags of herb-seasoned croutons on hand as well as frozen diced onions and celery!. Soften up the veggies by frying in a few tbs of butter, season with salt and pepper, pour over 2 cups of the croutons and moisten with chicken broth - and you have a delicious "homemade" dressing to stuff into chicken breasts and pork chops!. Fry them up on the stovetop or bake them in the oven and serve with gravy!. Quick, inexpensive and delicious!
Mini meatloaves with onion or mushroom gravy, porcupine meatballs or swedish meatballs, beef stroganoff (made with sliced beef or ground), chili: these can all be served with egg noodles, rice or mashed potatoes and are very inexpensive!.
You can make sweet and sour chicken or pork, teriyaki beef, pepper steak - all with thin strips of meat and just a few veggies such as onions and bell peppers!. Lots of flavor, quick to prepare and serving over rice helps to bulk out the meal!. also, it's a nice change from the recipes using ground beef!. :)

Ingredients
* 1 slice toast, preferably rye,but whole wheat will work (white bread is NOT recommended)
* peanut butter (creamy is preferable, but crunchy will do)
* thick slices of real tomato, the homegrown kind (the pink plastic rocks in grocery stores will NOT work, they have absolutely no flavor of their own)
* pepper (required)
* salt (optional)
Directions
1!.
1
Spread peanut butter on HOT toast!.
2!.
2
Concerned with calories-- You don't have to lay it on really thick, just make sure you can taste it!.
3!.
3
Now, completely cover the toast with tomato slices!.
4!.
4
Cut sliced tomatoes in halves or quarters, if necessary, to accomplish this task!.
5!.
5
Sprinkle liberally with black pepper, and add just a bit of salt, if desired!.
6!.
6
Eat while toast is still hot!.
7!.
7
If it gets cold, throw away and start over!.
8!.
8
Well, I'd probably eat it anyway, but it's not as good cold!.
9!.
9
Try it, you'll like it!.
10!.
10
Trust me on this-- the salty peanut butter is just wonderful with the tomatoes, and at least a little bit of pepper is necessary!.
11!.
11
I know, you're going EEEWWWWWW!
12!.
12
But if you give it a shot, who knows-- Maybe this is how you can find your inner weirdo!.
