Question: What type of sandwiches are good to bring to school!?
this year i decided to stop eating the food the school serves because it made me sick when i ate it!. now i bring my own lunch to school!. i am getting tired of alternating between a turkey sandwich with American cheese and mayo and a chicken sandwich with American cheese and Russian dressing(both sandwiches use cold cuts)!. what type of chicken or turkey cold cut tasts good can you give some recipes!. thank you

Answers:
roll ups---
chicken w/salsa & cheese rolled up in a tortilla!.
cream cheese mixed with dry ranch mix, topped with ham, rolled up

faux sushi rolls
take a slice of bread, trim the crusts!. Roll flat with a rolling pin!. Spread with cream cheese, top with a little meat (turkey, ham, bologna, etc) - make sure the meat is not as big as the bread, and a slice of cheese, roll up!.

Well you can alternate flavors by changing up a couple of things!. For example, add a zesty or spicy cheese, different cold cuts of meat from corned beef, to smoked hams, duck, tuna etc!.
also you can also use different breads or tortillas like tomato, asparagus, or regular and have a wrap instead!. And last you can bring a side of vegetables and salad with different vinaigrette's!. Making a vinagrette is easy, and it takes 5 minutes, place it in a small container and take it with you to school!.

Examples:

1) Tuna wrap with lettuce, tomato, onions, with a Cesar dressing or mayo!.
2) Chicken sandwich on a baguette with mayo curry, lettuce and tomato
3) Turkey sandwich with swiss cheese, spring mix lettuce, tomatoes, onion, mushrooms and a cranberry vinaigrette
4) Chicken sandwich with provolone and a roasted red-pepper jelly (1 onion, 3 roasted peppers, 1/4 cup of sugar sauttee together and let it cook on low heat) lettuce, & tomato!.
5) Turkey Sandwich with cranberry and onion jelly (1 cup cranberries, 1/4 cup dry cranberries, sugar, and 1 cup onions cook on low heat for 30 mins) and veggies with a potato salad!.

The only way to change it up is if you experiment!.

sorry but I'm a vegetarian!.!.!. but I was just wondering, does it always have to be sandwiches!? You could be really creative, bringing salads (pasta salads maybe, if you don't like other salads) you could bring leftovers of something else, things you can eat cold!. I love peanut butter and jelly, haha!.
But!.!.!. you could bring cold noodles, or soup in a thermos, or !.!.!. maybe make a wrap, or burrito!? Cold lunch = more variety than a cafeteria!. You could bring cold pizza or anything! Not just sandwiches!. (Not that there's anything wrong with them)

Good luck!
Sorry I don't have any chicken recipes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You should mix it up and do a tuna fish sandwich!. Just make the tuna the night before with some eggs, mayo, and mustard!. Add a diced apple and toast your bread in the morning!. I would suggest putting an ice pack in it or else it may separate and get nasty!.

Have a salad day!. Pack you a salad with lots of veggies and yummyness!. You can get cubed pieces of turkey where you get your turkey meats in any store!. Toss it in your salad and your lunch will be better!. You could have a fruit day!. Just cut you up a bunch of fruits and get some fruit yogurt (I would suggest a strawberry dip, it's good with anything I think!.!. they serve them with fruit party trays, you can get it in the dairy section)!. Apples will need to have a squeeze of lemon over them and the rest will be good!.

There's always ham and cheese!. (unless you can't ham of course)
Tuna sandwich, egg salad!. what about left overs!? bring some pasta in some tupperware!.
I even made a club sandwich, I had the bacon cooked in the morning and just warmed it up, it was a bit or work to put it together at lunch but not a big deal!. I had a crap load of turkey left over from easter so it was turkey sandwiches all week!. lol
also don't forget wraps! They are just as good!. Mix up the cheese too, get some cheddar in there,
You can make any sandwich with bread, sauce(like mayo), lettuce, tomato, cheese, meat!. plus any other veggies!.
I'm hungry nowWww@FoodAQ@Com

PB&J! If you make it with PB on one side and J on the other, your bread with be soggy before lunch but, if you mix(very well) the PB and J in a bowl until they combine completely, the bread won't be soggy!. Mix to taste, it doesn't matter how much of one or the other you use, it's all about what you like!. PB&J is one of the most well balanced meals you can eat!.

BTW, it works with honey tool!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

my nine year old grand son is asking me the same thing, so im watching your answers!. so ive tried to come up with a few things!.
pocket bread with dinner leftovers (roast beef and carrots and sliced up potatoes that were cooked w/roast) or, what he likes is spaghetti with meat sauce!. use your imagination and save$!. believe or not, grilled spam and pineapple is tasty!. then there are the spreads and salads: egg, tuna, underwood makes great little canned meat spreads!. i like them on multi grain bread!. instead of russian/american with your chicken, try taco sauce and pepper jack cheese (again, leftover chicken can be shredded or sliced)!. turkey, deli or prepared cold cuts, with cranberry sauce and swiss make a great pita roll up!. don't forget keep fresh in a fridge or one of those cool little insulated bags, especially if using mayo!. you can make your lunch an adventure every day!. but now im getting hungry and have to find a munch!. pbj would hit the spot 'bout now!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like to make wraps instead of sandwiches!. You use a tortilla, cheese, lunch meat, cream cheese, lettuce and any other type of veggies you like maybe bell pepper!.!.!.
There is less bread and it is really different tasting
Another thing you could try in the wrap is a dressing called salsa ranch from Lighthouse it isn't spicy but really good!.
Good luck Www@FoodAQ@Com

Why not make the sandwiches into cookie cutter shapes to shake it all up! Use a glass and cut circles out of the bread!. Use a different variety of healthy bran breads!. How about tuna and sliced grapes!?
Maybe just a snack pack of raw veggies like carrots, celery, green peppers!? Maybe you are just burned out on sandwiches period!
