Does this sound like good quality cookware?!

Question: Does this sound like good quality cookware!?
I am ordering a 21 piece cookware set from Brylane!. It's tri-ply stainless steel with an aluminum core on the bottom!. It will cost $109!.99!. I am only a casual cook who makes simple meals!. I would like to have a nice set of pots and pans for everyday cooking that will last a long time!. The description says the set is durable and heats evenly but based on the price I am skeptical!. also, based on the customer reviews which are very positive the set is lightweight!. I have always associated lightweight cookware with cheap and flimsy!.

Is it possible to get a decent set of cookware for such a low price!? Is lightweight always a sign of low quality!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

It sounds like you would really like to see it in person before you buy!.!.!.that is how I feel too!. My opinion, go to some cookware places that you could see what you want!. Look at brands, see the weight!. Ask questions of the sales people!. Some give you bologna, but some will know what they are talking about!. Ask for brochures so you have a reference!. Take notes!. You may not buy by brand, but you will know the qualities that you are looking for and those that are really important to you!. Then you can shop more easily by pictures or on line!.

I am on my third set of pots and pans!. I really like what I have, and I bought two sets at a sale around the holidays!. It is from Meier Corp!. in Fairfield, CA!. They are always sending me sales emails, and I check what they have, as there are additional pieces I sometimes like!. But it is what I really like! My husband was with me, and he was so crazed at me buying two sets!. Now that we are using them, he sees that the combination I picked really was a good deal!.!.!.!.and I did get them on sale to boot! I go to potsandpans!.com, and I think it is Meier Corp!. What I like is they have a number of brands with lots of different styles!. I do not know about shipping and all, and I am not trying to sell you anything!. It is just a good place to look and see what is available!. Figure out what you really want and then get the best deal!. Good luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Why do you need 21 pieces!? You will find that 3-4 appropriate pieces will be much more usefull than this package!. You probably need one good frypan, one medium size saucepan, and one larger soup pan!. The important bits can be - is the lid glass!? Can be good to see into the pan without opening the lid!. Can you put the frypan to the oven - what the handle is made of!? Chefs use all metal, so they can stick the frypan to the oven, for like a good omelett!. Get one piece at the time if you can afford only that at the time, as good quality will give you good results!. Poor quality cookware can stick, burn food down, you will have more problems with it, that its worth!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

No lightweight is not always a sign of low quality!.
Case in point "Swiss Diamond" very light and one frying pan will cost more then the whole set you purchased!.
But you know what!?
Try it out!.
You may have a good deal there!.
It is possible, it won't be the best but it may serve it's purpose and last a few years!.
That's worth $110!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You get what you pay for in cookware!.
Unless you buy the Emerilware, or the Rachelware, or Bataliware because that's all junk!.
If you want good cookware you're going to have to invest in it but it'll last you a lifetime!.
My mom uses cookware that her grandmother used!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
