Hamburger again, what else can I make? ?!

Question: Hamburger again, what else can I make!? !?
Okay, so with the meat being so expensive these days, more often than not, I end up with lots and lots of hamburger, and some chicken!.
I'm so sick of meatloaf, meatballs, tacos, pasta sauce with meat in it, sloppy joes, chili, hamburgers, and hamburger skillets(like the dreaded hamburger helper, lol) My boyfriend hates hamburg gravy(although I think that's what we're having tonight cause he's at work and doesn't need the leftovers tommorrow)
What are some fresh new ideas I can do with hamburger!? We rarely ever eat canned veggies, so shepards pie is out as I'm out of veggies period, right now, although I do want a good recipe for that as well!.

Thanks! Www@FoodAQ@Com

I know you're sick of tacos, but I came across this recipe the other day and made it, and it was actually really good!.

It's called Turkey Taco Pie, but you can always make it with ground beef instead of ground turkey!. I used the turkey because I'm trying to eat healthier!.

Anyway, here it is:

1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
1/2 cup chopped onion
1-2 tsp minced garlic (to taste)
1 pkg taco seasoning mix
8 oz sour cream
3/4 cup salsa (I use the chunky kind - mild, medium or hot, you choose)
2 Tbsp sliced black olives (leave them out if you don't like them)
1-2 Tbsp red pepper sauce (I use Frank's Red Hot)
1 cup of crushed nacho chips (I use the blue corn chips)
6-8 oz of shredded cheddar or Mont!. Jack cheese

In a bowl, mix the ground beef with the taco seasoning, onions and garlic!. Press mixture evenly into a 9X9 or 10X7 glass pan!. In a separate bowl, mix the sour cream, salsa, black olives and red pepper sauce together!. Pour over the beef mixture and spread it evenly!. Then sprinkle the crushed nacho chips on top, and then sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of that!.

Bake at 350 for about 40 minutes, or until the mixture is bubbling and the cheese gets a little browned on top!.

I was pleasantly surprised on how good this recipe came out!. At first I was skeptical, but it's really yummy!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can try a burger stroganoff!. Brown the beef, add some garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, lots of pepper, and about a cup of sour cream!. Serve over noodles!. In the future, when you have some veg, add onions and mushrooms to the beef!.

Brown your beef, add seasoning, plenty of shredded cheese and a little milk!. Serve over toast!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
onions (1 Med, diced)
Ground Beef (1 lb!.) or Cheap Steak

1 Can tomato sauce
1 1/2 cans water (using tom sauce can-and that's a more or less to your liking)

1/2 of a jalapeno

Cooked Rice

Cook onions, garlic and beef til done!.
Drain well
Add tomato sauce and ther water to it and simmer for about 1/2 to 1 hour!.
Serve over riceWww@FoodAQ@Com

I'm wondering if by hamburger gravy you mean the scrambled burger with cream of mushroom soup!? if not you could do that, it's good over rice or potato!.!.!. just brown up the burger, toss in a small can of cream of mushroom soup and then fill the can about half to 2/3 with water and add that, a beef bullion cube!. Viola! Www@FoodAQ@Com

How about swedish meatballs!?

I make meatballs the regular way, frying them in a pan for this recipe, although I have really liked baking them for other recipes!. I usually add grated garlic, grated onion, breadcrumbs, worcestire sauce (important) parsley flakes (really whatever you like but make sure to include worcestire sauce)

Fry the meatballs in a large skillet!.
While the meatballs are cooking I usually make mashed potatoes, pasta or even rice to go along with the swedish meatballs!.

Once the meatballs are cooked (don't have to be completely cooked through) remove from pan!. In same pan open 3 cans of cream of mushroom soup, add about 2 tablespoons more worcestire sauce, some parsley, some onion powder, garlic powder and salt and pepper!. Add 2 soup cans of water (watching the consistency - you can always add more if its too thick)!. Put the meatballs back into the pan and bring to a boil!.

This is an old family favorite and always a good standby!Www@FoodAQ@Com

i know you said you're tired of hamburger but have you tried making a thin patty and placing a slice of pineapple and cheese then then placing another thin patty over the top and pinching the edges together and cooking or grilling it until its done then pour some sweet and sour sauce on it for a change then serve as you would a burger!. another recipe that simple but filling is 'hamburger hash' dice some potatoes and add them to the crumbled hamburger in a skillet with a small amount of water and cook it covered until the potatoes are tender and the meat is brown(means its done) then you can eat it that way or add scrambled eggs, veggies or what ever else you have on hand cooking for a few more minutes until the extras are fully warmed and then serve with catsup and bread and butter and a salad and dinner is served, hope these help Www@FoodAQ@Com
