I'm trying to make a papaya shaped cake for my daughter's first birthday. How can I get that shape?!


Question: I'm trying to make a papaya shaped cake for my daughter's first birthday!. How can I get that shape!?
Im not quite sure how to shape this as far as which size/shaped pans to use!. Her name is Kaya so her nickname is papaya and I would love to make her this cake!. PLEASE HELP!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Have you considered baking the cake in a metal bowl and then sculpting it a little once it's cooled!? That might be your best bet!. Grease and flour the pan well, and it should turn out cleanly!. Once you have it sculpted into shape, brush or pour a thin glaze (powdered sugar and a bit of water, beaten smooth) over it -- especially on the cut parts -- and pop it into the freezer!. Let it freeze awhile, and then bring it out to frost it!. That way, you won't have crumbs from the cut sections in your frosting!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
