Whole grain dijon mustard roasted chicken?!
Hey I'm roasting a chicken tonight and was thinking of rubbing it with some garlic, lemon zest, whole grain dijon mustard, and honey!. Plus some onions in cavity of the chicken and on the bottom of the pan!. Has anyone done this or had this before and if so was it any good!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

You will have a very tasty dinner! I would recommend also adding to the cavity of the chicken one lemon cut in half (the one you zest would be perfect), and several cloves of smashed garlic!. I always add sprigs of Rosemary, but that's my preference!.

That sounds terrific, but you might want to use lemon juice instead of lemon zest!. The lemon could burn on the chicken, which wouldn't render much lemon flavor!. I usually squeeze a lemon over the chicken and throw the juiced lemon into the cavity of the chicken, which keeps it nice and moist!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
