Question: Can you use partially frozen berries to bake a pie!?
I need to know asap about my berries- they arent thawing as fast I thought and I have already added the sugar and tapioca!. can someone tell me if I put them in the oven now partially frozen if it will alter the pie at all, or if there are changes I need to make in the cook time!? The berries are blueberry!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Yes, indeed! They will do fine! Be sure to have yoru flour, cornstarch, arrowroot, or instant tapioca in w/ the berries and sugar so the starch can thicken up the berry juices as it cooks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you will probably get a pie with sad pastry, stick the berries in a microwave for a minute and give them a nuke, this should melt them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Unfortunately, as your berries defrost in the oven, you will have more liquid in your pie!. Hope this turns out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sure, just increase the time a little more but watch the crust so it doesn't burn!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would just run them under the hot tap, or nuke for a few minutes!. Drain well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, but!.!.!.You need to rinse them and be sure that all the ice is gone before you add anything!. Too late now! Hopefully it won't be too wet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Look just how silly are you
You do not provide the information!.!.
So Bye!.
