Question: How do you decorate a yellow cake with chocolate frosting!.!.!.!.!?
For a 9 yr old boy!. I was going to make a basketball cake (baked in a metal mixing bowl) but then he told me he wanted chocolate frosting!. I Consideredheavily sprinkling the cake with orange jimmies, but I hate the taste of those things and thought everyone else might hate it as well!. Any other decorating ideas are welcome!. He likes cars, basketball, martial art cartoons, and NikesWww@FoodAQ@Com

Does he like white chocolate!? Maybe you could use white chocolate and food coloring!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Um!.!.!.I'm not sure what you are calling Jimmies!. But what I recommend is that you go ahead and bake the cake as you wanted!. Use the chocolate frosting and sprinkle orange sugar crystals over it(is that what you refer to as Jimmies!?), then use a black icing to make the lines of the basketball!. It would be a dark orange, but he's a 9 yr old boy he probably won't care what the cake looks like as long as it has chocoloate LOL!.

Another cake you could do would be to use the bowl like you planned!. Use a pastry bag and a straw taped together to inject pudding randomly into the cake, any color or flavor would work, brown and green are the best though, Get Gummy bugs and worms!.!.!.before you ice it stick some in the cake, ice over them with the chocolate frosting and then take some chocolate or ginger cookie crumbles(something medium to dark brown) and top the icing to look like dirt!. Add a few more gummy bugs and worms like they are crawling out of the cake!. Boys like gross stuff, I'm sure it would be a hitWww@FoodAQ@Com

I love jimmies myself but since you don't like them then still make the round BB idea!. Just pipe the lines in a different color!. Nowdays you can get BB in anu number of colors!. Use you imagination!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
