Question for people who can make cookies?!

Question: Question for people who can make cookies!?
Im trying to make those
NO BAKE OATMEAL CHOCOLATE COOKIES!.

I got the recipe off all recipes:
2 cups sugar
4 tbl spoons of cocoa
1/2 cup of butter
1/2 cup of milk
2 1/2 cups of quick oats
1/2 cup of peanut butter!.

It says to boil the cocoa, butter, milk!. in a pan
Add the sugar & peanut butter and boil good for 1 1/2 minutes!.

Well i've done this twice! And my cookies never harden!. I left them out, I put them in the refrigerator over night!.
They are not drying out or anything! just solid mush!. :(

I also do NOT have anymore wax paper, or aluminum!. If I try again is it safe to put them on a cookie sheet(the metal pans)!?

And how do I make them so they harden!!!!
I was up 2 hours this morning trying to figure out what Im doing wrong!. :(
And I really want those cookies!

TY so much if you can help!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

NO BAKE CHOCOLATE OATMEAL COOKIES

1 stick butter
1/4 c!. cocoa
1/2 c!. milk
2 c!. sugar
1 tbsp!. vanilla
1/2 c!. peanut butter
3 c!. oats

Boil butter, cocoa, milk, sugar, vanilla and peanut butter for 1 minute!. Add oats and mix well!. Spoon out onto wax paper!. Cookie sheet will be fine i think you need to add more oats to keep them together and get hard!.!. Hope this helps

You have to follow the recipe exactly!. Start timing when mixture reaches a full rolling boil; this is the trick to successful cookies!. If you boil too long the cookies will be dry and crumbly!. If you don't boil long enough, the cookies won't form properly!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Make sure that the butter, sugar and milk (i use evaporated) mix boils long enough!. That is the biggest key in getting them to set!. It should begin to get thicker and more of a carmel color!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

More oats!. They will aborb the leftover moisture that keeps them from hardening!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
