Fajitas are a great, healthful meal to have when YOU are trying to lose weight and noone else is!.
Sautee red bell pepper, sliced, green bell pepper, sliced, onion, slice, portabella mushroom, sliced in a bit of canola oil and a few spoonfuls of your fave salsa!.
Grill chicken breast and slice & add to the pepper mix!.
Serve with
1) Lettuce cups for you! put all the toppings into a lettuce cup and enjoy!
2) Flour tortillas for them!
3) More salsa, for you and them -- salsa is healthy, low in calories, SO GOOD, and gives you heat that satisfies appetite
4) Cheese, for them
5) Low fat sour cream for both of you!
6) Chopped cilantro --- so good, if you like it, add great flavor and bumps up the experience

I too am in the same boat as you!. I'm currently working towards losing weight!. In addition to exercise (jogging for me!), healthy eating is extremely important!.
Fajitas are wonderful, and soooo easy!. I had some left over steak one day, and grilled that up with some peppers and onions (you can basically add whichever veggies you love)!. Added some sauce to flavor (I believe I used a bit of oyster sauce), and wrapped it all up in a whole wheat tortilla!. YUM!.
Fish is a GREAT alternative to meat!. It's just packed with good stuff for you!. A favorite meal around our house (that both of our kids love as well) is grilled or BBQ'd salmon with brown rice and steamed veggies!.
A good alternative to the everyday salad is instead of using a bunch of lettuce with some veggies!.!.!.use ALL veggies!. It's a nice, filling, chunky salad, that is much more satisfying!. I like to use chopped carrots, peas, broccolii, celery, cucumbers!.!.!.ANYTHING and add a little of your favorite dressing!. Much more satisfying than lettuce, and way more good stuff!
Good luck with everything!Www@FoodAQ@Com
