Question: When making spaghetti sauce from scratch, is it best to add the basil at the start or near the end of cooking!?
I cook my tomato sauce for about an hour!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It all depends on whether you will be using fresh basil or dried!? If using fresh I would add it half way through cooking and allow to cook for 30 mins, but if using dried I would add at the beginning to ensure you get all of the flavour!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i would do the basil last that way it gets a great test and it doesnt blend in to much with the other spicesWww@FoodAQ@Com
