Question: Have any sandwich ideas!?
I'm tired of having two pieces of bread and and 3 slices of turkey :(

I wants a real sandwich so none of the P&J stuff!.!.!. and I can't have cheese, so please help me out!!Www@FoodAQ@Com


Answers:
Fresh basil, proscuitto, lettuce, onions, & tomato on sourdough!. Amazingly fresh but still hearty because of the proscuitto (italian cured ham)!.

Grilled Mild & Spicy Italian Sausage with peppers & onions in a whole wheat wrap!. Top with a little marinara!.

My oldest son's favorite - pot roast in a sub roll with grilled onions!.

My youngest son's favorite - shrimp salad with cocktail sauce on a croissant (mash 1 can baby shrimp, rinsed and drained; 1 T mayo, 1 T melted butter; 1 T ketchup; 1/2 t celery seed; 1/2 t lemon juice; sliced scallions; salt & pepper to taste)

Ideally you want bread that has been sliced length ways!.
Spread the bread with butter!.
With the narrow end toward you lay down your fills across the bread, working away from your!.
Carefully roll up and slice into 2 or 3, depending on how wide the bread is!.
Chose fillings you like!.

Place on your filling and roll up!.

Corned beef strips with tomato wedges (seedless and skinned) laid end to end and seasoned!.
Corned beef strips with sweet mustard sauce!.
Seafood sticks, (halved) shredded lettuce and a little tartare dressing!.
Shredded cooked (or smoked) chicken with sweet chilli sauce!.
Shredded Lamb with chow-chow pickles, or piccalilli!.
Strips sausages and tomato sauce!.

Fish Special

Ingredients
6 small slices of bread
1000g cold cooked fish (remove bones, skin and shredded)
375 ml milk
2 tablespoons butter
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon flour
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1 teaspoonful salt
1 teaspoon lemon juice

Action
a!. Put 250 ml milk in double boiler and set on the fire!.
b!. Mix 60 ml milk with the flour, and stir the mixture into,
the boiling milk!.
c!. Cook for 5 minutes, add the fish, salt and pepper!.
Cook for another 5 minutes!.
d!. Beat the egg yolks well, and add the rest of,
the milk to them!.
e!. Stir this mixture into the fish mixture,
and remove from fire!.
f!. Add lemon juice, and spread the prepared,
fish on the buttered bread!.
g!. Serve very hot!.


Oysters Dish (6 servings)

Ingredients
50 good sized oysters
3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon pepper
6 slices bread
Salt to taste

Action
a!. Put the oysters in the frying pan on the fire!.
b!. When they are heating to the boiling-point,
add the seasoning!.
c!. Boil up, and then pour them on the slices of toast,
which should be arranged on a warm platter!.
d!. Serve at once!.


French Toast

Ingredients
12 slices bread (2 cm thick)
2 eggs
1/4 teaspoon salt
375 ml milk

Action
a!. Beat together the eggs, salt and the milk!.
b!. Put a part of the mixture in a soup plate,
and dip a few slices of bread into it!.
c!. Continue adding a little mixture and dipping the slices,
until all the mixture has been used!.
d!. Spread the bread on a platter, and let it stand for,
30 minutes!.
e!. Last, rub the bars of the toaster lightly with butter,
and brown the bread on both sides!.
f!. Serve very hot!.


Salmon and Tomato

Ingredients
Bread (small pieces)
Salmon paste
Tomato (riped)

Action
On a toast put a paste of salmon, and in this a slice of,
tomato with mayonnaise!.


Scrambled Eggs (3 servings)

Ingredients
5 eggs
250 ml milk
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Some slices of hot toast

Action
a!. Break the eggs into a bowl!.
b!. Add salt and pepper!.
c!. Beat for a minute with an egg beater or mixer!.
d!. Add milk and beat a little longer!.
e!. Melt the butter in a hot saucepan!.
f!. Pour in the egg mixture and stir slowly constantly!.
g!. When most of the mixture is thick and lumpy,
the scramble is done!.
h!. Pour the mixture over the slices of bread!.
i!. Serve right away!.


Sweet Bread Special

Ingredients
Slices of boiled ham
Butter
Sweetbread
Mushrooms
Lemon juice
Flour
Cream and milk

Action
a!. Prepare slices of ham as needed for each guest!.
b!. Simmer in butter!. Parboil sweetbread and brown in butter!.
c!. Slice the bread nearly through and put a slice of ham in each!.
d!. Fry mushrooms in butter in a saucepan about 10 minutes
with lemon juice squeezed over them!.
e!. Add flour to butter and some cream and milk!.
f!. Place them in a casserole and top with mushrooms!.
g!. Put in oven and heat thoroughly!.
