Cabbage and Ramen cole slaw?!
My recipe calls for one package of Oriental Ramen noodles and one package of Beef Ramen!. I accidentally got the chicken flavor!. Will that make a big difference if I use chicken in place of beef!? I've never made this before!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
Just a different flavor, but if you care use a beef bullion cube instead of the chicken seasoning package in the recipe!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
The recipe I have for this type of salad does not include the seasoning packet as an ingredient!. This recipe came from a friend of mine, and is fantastic!
ORIENTAL SALAD
Salad:
1 head cabbage (chopped)
4 green onions (chopped)
1 pkg!. Top Ramen soup (do not use seasoning packet)
2 oz!. pkg!. sliced almonds
4 tablespoons sesame seeds
Dressing:
1/2 cup safflower oil
4 tablespoons sugar
6 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
Method:
Mix together dressing ingredients and let stand overnight in refrigerator!. Toast sliced almonds and sesame seeds at 450 degrees for a couple of minutes or on stove top over medium heat (watch closely, they will burn quickly)!. Combine all salad ingredients, and mix with dressing right before serving!.
Notes: Break-up Ramen noodles a bit; and do not use too large a head of cabbage!.
