How do I make beef cubes tender?!
I plan on stir-frying them with some onions and soy sauce!. What's the best way to make them tender!? I heard cornstarch is good but I'm not sure about the process!. Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
hit em with a meat mallet, don't have one!. use a hammer!.
also you can soak the pieces for around a 1/2hour in some lean perrins steak sauce ;)
wait to salt the meat until the end of the cooking process, cooking with salt dries meat out making it very NOT tender ;)Www@FoodAQ@Com

cornstarch has nothing to do with tenderizing meat!. i would not use cubes for stir fry, I would use thin strips of steak!. Cubes will take longer cooking and be carefull what you buy!. Stew meat is great little cubes but it is a tougher cut of meat and will need long slow moist cooking to break down the fibers and make it tender!. Good luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It is the cooking that makes them tender!. Keep cooking until they are tender!.
Cook the onion first, and when the meat is nearly cook return to pan!.
Cornstarch is used to thicken up the sauce if you are making one!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
