Making a smaller lasagna-Mum lives 5 hours away and cant help.?!
I always make a lasagne in an average square sized tray, but I end up with too many leftovers as its only my bf and I to share it,m and he is a fusspot and refuses to eat leftovers, so therefore a lot goes to waste!
So I would like to make a lasagna in a smaller tray, a loaf tray probably, so I am just wondering, how much would I need to adjust the cooking time by!? I usually bake a normal sized one for 35 minutes!. Should I also adjust the temperature!?
Thanks to anyone willing to offer advice!. I would ask my Mum, but her and my Dad live 5 hours away and are also on holidays, so I dont want to bother them!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's very expensive to make a smaller lasagna because all of your cheeses and sauce ingredients have to be bought in larger quantities!. I'll bet he lets you pay for the ingredients too!. But if you want to do it in a mini loaf pan, 15 minutes at 375 should do it!.

I would drop your oven temp by 25-50 degrees and cook for the same amount of time!.
eerrr but if you use the other temp if i remember right only drop it 5-15 degrees!.
I usually cook a big tray then freeze the rest!. Then I have something for when i am to tired to cook something!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Your boyfriend is a 'tard, lasagna makes the best leftovers for breakfast!
I would say, as long as the number of layers doesnt change, you won't need to adjust the temperature or cooking time!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

if you half the size hypothetically the time would be halved but the tempreture would be the sameWww@FoodAQ@Com
well depending on the recipe I use!.!. majority of them are like cook it for 40min and when I take it out, the top cheese is bubbly and has browned edges on it!.!.
so for this first time!.!. set a timer on your oven (or watch the clock religiously) and say after 15/20 min!.!. look at the lasagna, if the top is starting to brown and the cheese is all bubbly, id say its done,, if it still looks raw on top, add another 5 min till you think it really looks done!.!. afterall!.!. majority of the ingrediants are already cooked!.!. I do use egg in mine when I mix it with the ricotta cheese for the filling, but eggs dont take too much to set up anyways!.!. so 15/20 min might be a good time, just keep looking though Www@FoodAQ@Com
