How long will rice and beans last in the fridge?!
Say I cook up some rice and beans, eat a little, then refrigerate the rest!. How long will they last!?
It is brown rice and black beans (salted)!. I store them in vacuum sealed containers!. I ask this because I made some on Thursday, the 18th, and just opened it up and had it today, the 29th, and it tasted fine!. I'm wondering how long they could possibly go!.!.!.a few weeks!? Three-four weeks!? Thanks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I say a few weeks!.
The response that says you should never reheat rice is ridiculous, I have been doing it for years!. My rice sits in the fridge a week on average before I finish eating it, though after the first day or two I don't eat it without frying it because it just doesn't taste very good anymore, because the texture is changed!. I've only ever had 1 case of food poisoning and that was because our fridge was broken and I ate some bad yogurt (didn't have any rice)!.
Rice by itself lasts maybe a week, a bit more, but after a day or maybe two, the texture can go a bit funny so it's not so great anymore!. Leftover rice is excellent for fried rice for a couple of days!.
But if you have combined the rice with something else, I'm sure it will be fine for at least a week or two!.
Edit: and the more I'm thinking about it, the more mad the previous response is making me, because, honestly, the LEADING cause of food poisoning is RICE!? That's just plain stupid, you absolutely can't think such a silly thing!. Food poisoning most commonly comes from MEATS, this is common sense!. Rice is just a grain!. This is ridiculous!. Pay no mind to the paranoid freak who apparently has never eaten fried rice (which is delicious, by the way, and requires you to leave your rice in the fridge at least overnight for a proper texture)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i'd say for about 1 week at the most to be on the safe side!.!.plus, there's no sense of making something and leaving it there for weeks and not even eat it during those days (not saying you wouldn't) xD but you might as well make enough that you'll eat within a few days or else it's just a waste and end up throwing more away than eating
but unless if you want to create a food monster!.!. leave it in there for about a year or two lolWww@FoodAQ@Com

Rice is one of the biggest cause of food poisoning and most people reccommend that you never reheat it!. I would eat it the following day but after that I wouldn't keep it!. Better to be safe than sorry!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
probably 2 weeks i wouldn't suggest eating it after that!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
