Whipped Cream Icing!.!.!.
1 cup of Crisco shortening
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of milk
1/4 cup of flour
Blend Crisco and sugar in a mixing bowl (blend well)!. In sauce pan, mix milk and slowly stir in flour!.!.!.continue stirring over medium heat until it begins to bubble, then immediately set the pan off to the side to cool!. When mixture is completely cooled!.!.!.add to the mixing bowl with the blended sugar and Crisco!.!.!.add 2 tbsp of vanilla and beat on high speed until it's fluffy and "peaks"Www@FoodAQ@Com

Whip up egg whites until it starts getting fluffy then start adding icing sugar whilst whisking until the mixture stiffens a little and looks perfectly shiny then add a squeeze of lemon juice to counter the sweetness!. Its easier to eyeball and taste rather than give you a recipe!. Or you can make a buttercream start by whipping butter til pale and soft then add sifted icing sugar til it tastes good to you!. You can loosen the mix to the consistency you want by adding milk!.
The eggwhite icing is what is generally used for carrot cake!.
If you want to make little butterflies to sit on your cakes!. Pipe 2 small chocolate hearts with melted chocolate for wings, 1 chocolate line and 2 small antennas on the choc line!. Place chocolate line and antennas in middle of cake after theyre set then put hearts pointed side down on either side of the line!.
Or for flowers use mini marshmallows and cut them horizontally in half so you get perfect circles, pinch the circles to make an eye shape (these are the petals) put an m & m in the centre and arrange the petals around the candy, pipe a green stem on and you get a picture perfect edible flower!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

WILTON WHIPPED BUTTERCREAM ICING

"The thick but creamy texture of this flavorful icing makes it ideal for decorating!. It can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to a week!. Rewhip before using!."

1/4 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups sifted confectioners' sugar (icing sugar)
(there are 4 cups in a pound)
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon milk

In a large mixing bowl; cream butter with electric mixer!. Add vanilla!. Gradually add sugar one cup at a time, beating well on medium speed!. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl often!. When all the sugar has been mixed in, icing will appear dry!. Add milk and beat at high speed until light and fluffy!.

Keep icing covered with a damp cloth until you're ready to decorate!. For best results, keep icing bowl in refrigerator when not in use!. (I cover it with plastic wrap)

I have found that food displayed in magazines, and on menus are usually fake, that is why they look too perfect!.To make a good fluffy icing to pipe onto cupcakes I would make it Myself!. I would take 2 8 oz packages of cream cheese, confectioners sugar to taste, a teaspoon of vanilla!. Mix with a wire wisk in a mixer!. Spoon into a piping bag with a rose tip!. then pipe onto your cupcakes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Butter Icing is the best for that!.!.!.
Its SOO easy

-Chunk of butter in a bowl
-boil the kettle
-pour some icing sugar onto the butter, pout a tiny bit of boiling water on it to soften the butter and icing sugar to make it easier to mix!.!.!.mix it all up and keep adding more and more icing sugar until it gets to the right consistency and tastes good :-) U can also add chocolate or vanilla flavor!.!.whatever takes ur fancy :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Any party store, or anywhere that sells that stuff has the bags and tips to use, but a baggie with the corner cut off will work if you don't care if it's roses!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
