Picky Family.... Dinner Ideas?!

Question: Picky Family!.!.!.!. Dinner Ideas!?
I am looking for crock pot meals preferably!. (less time making dinner is better) I need any recipes, crock pot or not, for a picky family!. It seems like we have to make the same things over and over again!. The family likes chicken mostly, but will eat beef and pork!. We are not a fan of Mexican!. Besides the normal taco or burrito!. They like simple!. Nothing with a ton of ingredients!. No Alfredo sauces or tomato sauces!. Just very simple and delicious!. I know it's not a lot to go on but I can't name everything the kids don't like!. So just try to make it simple!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Let your kids pick out the ingredients they don't like!. The adults shouldn't be punished to eat plain b/c the kids are picky!.

1/2 cup dry red wine
1 (1-oz!.) envelope dry onion soup mix

2!. Cover and cook on HIGH 4 hours or until beef is tender, stirring once after 2 hours!. Serve the beef tips over hot cooked egg noodles or rice tossed with parsley!.

Note: Though we love the hands-off advantage of the slow cooker, this recipe works better when you can stay close by to stir it occasionally!. Stirring prevents sticking and distributes ingredients evenly!.

Creamy Chicken Recipe (FOR THE CROCKPOT)

Vegetables Choose your favourite mix of vegetables from:-
Frozen - these cook up just fine, will be soft but still seem to hold together!.
Canned - same as frozen!. Though tin peas really loose their color and go a grey sort of color!.
Pre-Cut - fresh, pre-cut from the super-market (for when feeling lazy)!.
Fresh - cut into about 1 inch square pieces!. Feel free to prepare the night before!.

Meat Legs (drumsticks), wings, maryland pieces!. Even breast or thigh, if you don't like bones!.
2?–3?lb (1–1?kg) this will serve 4 – 6!.

Flavouring Your favourite flavour of tin soup!. Use the ‘Cream of !.!.!.’ type soups!. Our favourite is cream of corn!.

Alternatively use one of those ‘Simmer Sauces’ – the ones you use for stir fry’s!. We have found that the no name brand ones (which I don’t like in stir fry’s), work well and; they are cheap!. Try ‘Honey Mustard’ – my favourite!.

Optional Extras Crushed garlic and/or ginger - teaspoon or two!.
Herbs - best put in during last hour of cooking- teaspoon or two!.
Salt and Pepper - added at end - to taste!.

DIRECTIONS Chuck the Vegies in first, put the chicken on top, pour in the soup and pop on the lid!. That’s it!. Nothing else!.

Do not add any water, the enclosed slow cooking will retain heaps!.

Add any of the optional extras!.

Cook for about 3–4 hours on high OR 6-8 hours on low!.

Crock Pot Pork Roast Recipe

Pork Roasting Piece IMPORTANT Choose a piece of pork that is going to fit in the pot!.

The cut does not really seem to matter!. Leg, shoulder or whatever will do!.

Vegetables Put vegetables in the Crock Pot first!. Cut into inch size pieces!. Choose any vegetable you would normally roast!. They will not be crispy but soft and take on the flavour of the meat!.

Optional Extras We generally add something else to enhance the pork flavour!. However you don't have to add anything if you don’t want!.
Ideas
# 1
1 tablespoons butter mixed with 1 teaspoon of ground sage - and rub over raw meat!.

# 2
1 tablespoons butter mixed with 1 teaspoon of ginger - and rub over raw meat!.

DIRECTIONS Place vegetables (if cooking) in first then put the meat in the pot - rub on butter and extras if required!. And that’s it!. Nothing else to do or add!.

Cook for about 4–6 hours on high OR 8–10 hours on low!.
