This is how My mom makes them and they are so yummy
cup of Popcorn
mini marshmallows
1 tablespoon of butter,
vanilla extract

Pop your corn, then melt the marshmallow with the butter, till its creamy(we use the microwave) the same way you would rice crispy treats, Add a teaspoon or a dash of vanilla to the cream,(very important) and mix in your popcorn and form into balls and let them set on a wax paper, till they are SET and wrap individually in plastic wrap!
its super easy, if you can make rice crispy treats then you can make these, do not forget the vanilla it adds that extra pop of sweetness, we also put orange food coloring in the cream to turn them orange for halloween,,

Ingredients:

* 1/4 cup corn oil
* 1/2 cup popcorn
* 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
* 1/2 cup sugar
* 1/2 teaspoon salt

Just add a few drops of food coloring!.

Preparation:
Heat corn oil in a 4-quart kettle over medium heat for about 3 minutes!. Add popcorn!. Cover, leaving cover just slightly ajar!. Shake frequently over medium heat until popping stops!. Meanwhile, mix together corn syrup, sugar and salt!. Add to popped corn in kettle, stirring and tossing constantly over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes, or until sugar is dissolve and popcorn is evenly coated with mixture!. Remove from heat!. Gently form into balls, using buttered hands!.

5 quarts popcorn, popped
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Keep popped corn hot and crisp in oven (300 - 325 F)!. Butter sides of saucepan!. In it combine sugar, water, salt, corn syrup, and vinegar!. (also your choice of food coloring)
Cook to hard-stage (250 F)!. Add vanilla!. Pour slowly over hot popped corn, mixing well to coat every kernel!.

Press into balls (butter hands if necessary)!. Try not to burn your hands!.

Popcorn Balls

2 cups Cane Syrup
? tbsp butter or margarine
? tsp salt
2 quarts popped popcorn
salted peanuts (optional)

Pop the popcorn according to package directions!. Combine with the peanuts if you are choosing to add them!.

In a heavy duty pan over a low fire, combine the syrup and salt and boil to the hard boil stage (when a small amount dropped in a cup of water becomes brittle) 260 degrees on a candy thermometer!. Remove off the fire and add the butter -- you could probably add your food color at this point if you want to dye the balls for a party!. Jell-O Popcorn Balls
1 cup light corn syrup
1 small box any flavor gelatin
1 cup granulated sugar

For varied colors, use different colors of gelatin!. Bring corn syrup, sugar and gelatin to a boil!. Pour over 4 quarts of popcorn and mix well!. Form into balls







White Popcorn Balls

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup white corn syrup
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 tablespoon vinegar
1/2 cup popcorn -- popped
1 cup pecans; chop -- toasted

Put sugar, corn syrup, water, butter and vinegar in a heavy saucepan!. Cook to about 260~ on a candy thermometer!. Pour over the popped corn and toasted pecans!. Stir to coat!. Butter hands, and make balls!.






Marshmallow Popcorn Balls
50 large marshmallows
1/3 cup butter or margarine
6 quarts popped corn
Vegetable cooking spray or butter

Combine marshmallows and butter in Dutch oven; cook over low heat until marshmallows melt, stirring mixture occasionally!. Place popped corn in a large pan!. Pour hot mixture over popped corn, tossing to coat!. Coat hands with vegetable cooking spray or butter!. Shape mixture into balls!. Place on wax paper to cool!. Wrap popcorn balls individually in colored cellophane or plastic wrap; store in a cool, dry place!.

Yields 16 balls!.
